My Wonderful Neighbors

I just want to say what wonderful neighbors we have. We have lived in our house for 6 years and for the first time we are actually socializing with neighbors. We have never really had neighbors that were so friendly and welcoming before.

Pete and Riley:
They are an older couple that we met the day we closed on our house they were closing too. They are wonderful and look out for us. They have offered up so many prayers on our behalf over the years and they are just really special to us!!!!

Christy, Ryan, and Amelia:
The first time I met Christy I thought "this is someone I could become fast friends with" but it was always one of those things you see each other out chat and say we should really get together sometime. Well in the past 4 months we have, just as I thought, become wonderful friends. She is so sweet and has the gift of laughter. You know that wonderful laugh that always puts you at ease. She is a really great listener and I'm so glad she is my neighbor..... Her husband Ryan is just a great all around guy. He is a chef (yet he has not cooked for us yet hmmmmm) and works most nights. He is a hands on dad and the boys just love him cause he picks up the frogs for them to examine. And Amelia their 4 yr old daughter. She could be their sister with her matching red hair. She has quit a shoe collection to be so young (which Joseph loves) and the boys adore her. Constantly asking where she is. She is so well behaved and has such a sweet little smile it would melt your heart.

Tori:
Tori is Christy's sister that lives with them. She is a WOMEN about her business. She gets up at 4am to be at work at 5a.m. She works several jobs and went to school to be a CNA. She takes her test tomorrow so big prayers are going out for her!!!!! She is only 21 and she just amazes me at her dedication to her work and studies. She is very mature for her age and upon meeting her is someone you know you could always depend on.

Kingsley and Faith:
They are the cutest little couple. Faith is 5 months pregnant. She is beautiful and barley looks like she is expecting. They both are very personable and are so easy to talk with. Kingsley works for Clark Nexsen (where I use to work) and my friends over there tell me how great he is. Faith is a school teacher. While we do not spend as much time with them as the others (they seem to always be going somewhere) we are enjoying the friendship that is forming. If we had to pick something we didn't like about them it would be that Kingsley works out everyday in his garage and we sit and watch while we eat our chips and drink our soda and talk about how we need to be on a diet. Perhaps we should get up and go over and have him train us on the weights instead.....hmmmm....

Joe, Lillian & Gabriel:
They are our newest neighbors. They live right next door to us. They are from Columbia, South America and Joe is about the funniest guy I've ever met. Lillian is a beautiful women and has such a sweet smile. Gabriel is 2 months older than the boys and he is all boy. Lillian and Michael work at night so Joe and I sit outside in the cul-de-sac everynight while the kids play catching up on our gossip and referring the fights between the boys. Joe says he is going to get boxing gloves for them all. (maybe UTUBE clip....) They are wonderful neighbors and great friends. Joe never seems to be down and when I've had a bad day and get home he is always out there cheering me up or really cracking me up.....

So to the Tyrants of Trifecta......... ROCK ON!!!!! By the way we are planning T-shirts so we can roll up to the pool in our gangsta colors!!!!!

Card Class

Yesterday my sister, my neighbors Christy and Tori, and I went to a Christmas in July card class at my friend Amy's house. I told Michael I'd be back in an hour. (We left at 2:00) I got home at 6:30....... The cards are beautiful and it was so nice to be out of the house without the boys. Michael suggested I try and make the card classes on a monthly basis so I may try that. I miss it and my scrapbooking. I'm so far behind on albums for the boys..... I think I'm going to make it my personal goal that after our houseguest is gone I'm going to clean back up the bonus room and start working on albums again.

MY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Saturday was my birthday and after sitting in the sun all day for the Biggest Loser Casting call I was glad to be able to jump in the pool.

My best friend Joy was generous enough to let me have the party at her house. Anyway it was Michael's family, my family, some of our neighbors and then my best friend from college Robin. It was nice and relaxing. Michael grilled hotdogs and even burned me some (that is the only way to eat them). The kids had a blast. It is so nice to be able to sit by the pool and watch them jump in and swim around verses having to be in the pool the whole time while they cling to you for dear life (William at the beginning of the season).

I was standing on the side of the pool and picked Joseph up and threw him into the deep end and his swimmies came off his arms as he went in. No need to worry I was in and saved the day. My heart never raced and I never panicked but boy everyone else sure did!!!!!!!! I kind of felt bad that I was not worried like "what kind of mother doesn't freak out when that happens." I guess I knew I was right there he wasn't going to drown.

I got some great gifts. Thanks to all of you (even though you weren't suppose to bring gifts).

All in all it was a wonderful birthday and yes I do feel another year older!!!!

The Biggest Loser

So Saturday my sister-in-law Jennifer and I got up and left my house at 6:30a.m. to go to the casting call for the next Biggest Loser. We arrived at Fitness Together (Central Avenue) at 7:10 a.m. got in line. We sat outside till about 10:30 when they started passing out numbers. We were #240. So they started seeing people at 11:30. There were two buildings that we could go into that had air conditioning only they couldn't get the air working. So we sat outside till about 12:30 then we went into this big open building (vacant) they had opened up but there was no air in there and though it was HOT it was better than the sun beating down on you. At 3:40 we decided we had to go because my birthday party was at 4:00. We were so bummed that we had sat out there the whole day and weren't going to be seen.

So I'm still FAT and back at square one..... I've got some stuff in the works though I'll fill you in on later................

Potty Trained!!!!

We went to the beach the week of the 4th and upon our return the boys said they were ready for underwear. So in just 3 short days they are trained. Joseph has it licked he is great. William is still having some issues but for the most part he is doing good too. They just look so darn cute in their little underwear!!!!! What a blessing for us to finally be able to drop the diapers!!!!

Beach Trip

I'm horrible at keeping this updated..... I need to add pictures too I will do that soon.

We went to Hilton Head Island with Bill and Nancy Williams the week of July 4th. Bill and Nancy are my best friend Joy's parents. They also keep my boys during the day. They have a condo at the beach as does Joy and her brother Chris. They were gracious enough to invite us down. We stayed in Joy's condo with her and her brother his wife, their 3 kids (they have 1 yr old twin boys and a 4 yr old daughter), then they brought their friends Dave and April and their two kids. (1 1/2 yr old Lawson and Mia who is 6 I think...). Anyway they all stayed in Bill and Nancy's condo. We had such a wonderful time.

Highlights:
My children have no fear. They loved the ocean and would just run right out into it and put their heads in, it was really cute. We spent one day all day at the beach and they had such a good time. Bill (they call him PawPaw) played with them and they built a big castle with him and Auntie Joy. Memaw (Nancy), Michael and I sat under the umbrella cause we were on fire...... But the day was beautiful and the ocean was perfect. We had wonderful weather the whole time we were there.

We took the boys, Mia, and Skyler to see KungFo Panda and they were "pretty" good luckily there were only 4 other people in the theater. The movie was cute.

The boys became more interested in using the potty while we were there which was great. The walk from our condo to the big pool in the complex required us to walk over a big lake like area. In the lake thing were alligators and turtles. It fascinated the boys to be able to see alligators that close up it terrified me of course all the worst scenarios run through your mind.

The boys wore swimmies on their arms but by the end of the week they could swim without them on. They could also touch the bottom of the pool at one end so I think it made them more daring. People were constantly asking me if they had taken swimming lessons and I would say no. Just goes back to that theory that I have show no fear and they will have no fear.......

Anyway, the day before we left we bought them a little tiny turtle they named Tippy. Yes he is still alive how? I'll never know.....

We went to this place called Shelter Cove to watch the fireworks on the 4th. It was fun. The boys enjoyed and we ate vendor dogs and some fancy cupcakes which were good. Their Memaw bought them these really annoying pop guns which they continuously shot off the whole time.

I forgot they LOVE the elevators at the beach. It was a constant battle between the two for who was going to get to push the button. We had to keep a constant eye on them cause that Joseph knew how to unlock the condo door and that mean he could get out and get on the elevator..... Never a dull moment.

They were also given a DVD system for the car as an early birthday present. THANK YOU MEMAW & PAWPAW!!!!!! That was a blessing and it would have been a very stressful ride had we not had that. For anyone traveling down that way there is a wonderful Restaurant called the Front Porch it is only about 50 miles from here before Columbia. We ate there on the way down and back. I highly RECOMMEND IT.

All in all it was a wonderful vacation!!!
